This work was primarily associate with a design revamp for an older design of the machine. I was involved with including a Hardwired clutch control instead of a servo based system which gives us a better cost to control ratio at the same efficiency and can be used in more unideal conditions.

The project was whilst my time at A.D.Paul & Co., based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Although servo based systems were flooding the market for controls in systems such as this. For another sect of the market, this system proves efficient in two aspects of being more economic and offering higher longevity.

The system offers unmatched modularity when compared to its servo based counter parts. The clutch is designed to be easily replaceable and in itself is very economic to replace. This type of resin based clutch supports higher stopping loads and thereby calibration for higher dispensing loads. With such high stopping loads, there is inevitably high wear and tear. But since the wear is restricted only to the clutch, it can just be swapped out for a new one over the years and guarentees longevity.
