Design/Development of Automated Locks on Cycle Sharing

I was part of the core design and fabrication team responsible for manufacturing the hubs, and each of the distinct docks in it. Most of my work during this project was done on CATIA V5 and the prototyping was locally outsourced.

Developing a vandalism proof system to our best extent was our objective, but resourcefully using algorithms to automate alarms, minimise sensors, and secure components was the challenging task. And our team’s efforts and uique approach involved solutions like de-coupling the drive at exposure to higer torques thereby engaging rigid locks on the system with sufficient protection to internal devices till the authorities arrived.
